Applause and cheers from the audience signifies the end of a great performance and the culmination of a great deal of hard work. But most people don't realize how difficult it is to stage a theatrical production, with the acting sometimes being the easiest part. Accounting, Scheduling, Advertising, Finance...managing these myriad moving parts can often overwhelm young companies and greatly limit their ability to succeed.
The PACT program recognizes extraordinarily talented performing arts organizations with grants of financial, technical, and operational assistance. Beyond just providing short-term capital infusions, PACT grants foster the creation/refinement of real-life tools for a group to better manage budgets, to more effectively interface with external funding sources, and to strengthen the bond with their audience and the local community.
