Open it and print it

Once you have a package — the metadax-package JSON from the skill or an AI chat — the player opens it. One shared player renders every package. Everything runs in your browser.

Open it in the player

  1. Go to the player: daxfoundation.org/metadax/play/.
  2. Paste your package JSON into “Open your package” and press Play.
  3. You get two tabs: For you (the guide) and For the learner (your child’s side, with the game). Read your page first.

The player says it plainly: “Nothing here is saved or sent anywhere.” It works offline once the page has loaded — you can save the player page and drop the JSON into it for a fully offline file.

Print the learner page and the guide key

Press Print this. The printed version is paper-first and in black and white, and it prints two things in order:

So you can hand your child their pages and keep the guide key yourself. Every sheet carries the same two lines at the foot: behaviour never diagnoses, and a way, never the way.

The “say it, then find it” item

Some lessons — early reading especially — include a spoken-sound item. You say the prompt aloud; your child taps or circles the one they hear. The page itself speaks nothing. On screen the answer is marked as a preview for you; in print the answer stays off the learner page and sits only in the guide key.

Companion notes (for the guide only)

A package can come with optional companion notes — a small sidecar file. If you have one, open “Companion notes” in the player and paste it in. Only its guide-facing notes are shown, and only on your “For you” tab — never on your child’s side, and never in print. If the notes don’t match the expected shape, the player simply plays the package without them.
