What is the DAX Foundation?

The DAX Foundation's purpose is DAX: the preservation and expansion of life, humanity and consciousness — one sentence, one purpose. It is building three things: Meta DAX for learning, Nova DAX for a person's record and Skippy DAX, a companion. Every interaction between any two of them runs under the Constraint Protocol: recorded, accountable, signed.

Picture a graph. Every circle is an entity: a person, a companion, a record, a learning platform. Every line between circles is a Constraint Protocol relation — the Protocol is what the lines are made of. It is not a part of the Foundation's purpose; it is the substance of every connection in the picture. Meta DAX is being built now: universal learning, one concept at a time for one person, for a whole life. Nova DAX is the record that stays yours. Skippy DAX is the companion that acts on your behalf. A citizen holds her own identity, her record and her companion. Reading level is how much of this picture you see.

Today, and where it goes

Today Meta DAX is live as an experiment. A guide answers a few questions about a learner and what she needs, and gets lessons and quizzes made for that person. The guide reads it first. Every helper action is recorded under the Constraint Protocol. The Foundation is open about what is built and what is still being tested.

The proof

The Constraint Protocol is published at daxfoundation.org. The definitions of DAX, the cognitive companion and human delta value are published there too. The 2024 prototype showed a guide answering questions and a course being made for one learner, quizzed and assessed.

Underneath

Every line in the graph is a Constraint Protocol relation: who acted, on what, under whose authority, recorded and signed. That is the substrate every interaction runs on. The Foundation holds the purpose and the protocol. Reading level is how much of this picture you see.
